After some not so pretty scenery, we head to Kakia Thalassa (Bad Sea).  Now this place turns out to be quite pretty, although in Summer it may be a different story.  The drive down was through a forested area of pines and shady trees. It seemed like no one lived there, it was peaceful and the streets were empty.  A good chance to look around without interruption.

On to the next bay of Porto Rafti. A place I quite liked the first time I went, but was less than impressed with this time. Hit and run out of there and back to the city via  roads off the beaten tourist track, roads that go deep into the wasteland of modern Greece, a Greece that ancient Greeks would probably never have gone to war over.

The views became so ugly, we turned around and went back via Sounio. Usually I hate backtracking, but witnessing the impact of a civilizations decay, the disregard for the environment, the garbage and the building material waste tossed into the fields, the the the…….
