What's New On Ithaca Greece
November 2022
Wednesday 2nd - Kalo Mina to everyone. I might be a bit behind this next week as I've been struck down with the flu. Ithaca isn't known for it's Autumninal colours, but there is a hint here and there.
Monday 7th - Some thundery skies this past weekend, but besides the roaring and the rain, all is good with the island.
Thursday 10th - The November sea is just as beautiful as the August one, even more so without all the sea traffic disrupting the flow.
Above - Sunset over the Ionian. Below - Blood red full moon over Ithaca.
Saturday 11th - Below - Stavros, the northern center of Ithaki.
Sunday 13th - Half way through another month and now the weather is starting to show it's winter colours with a grey sky, but before it was overcast, it was this: Below - Kioni outskirts toward the windmills.
Wednesday 16th - Half way through November already and deep into the olive harvest and making Ithaca's delicious olive oil.

Winter on Ithaca Greece
Wednesday 2nd
Monday 7th - Many have taken the opportunity this month to take their annual holidays as Summer usually keeps everyone who's working, in their place. Below - Kathara Monastry bell tower.
Thursday 10th - The Ionian in November has a special charm. It feels peaceful and serene...unless there's a strom brewing.
Saturday 11th - Below - It's not often you see this kind of statement in your every day neighbourhood, but in Greece, the Communist party is 4th popular in the country.
Sunday 13th - It's that time of the year again. Burning off. As the island undergoes it's olive harvest, smoke signals herald the clearing off.
Wednesday 16th - Extra virgin olive oil made in Frikes.
