What's New On Ithaca Greece
March 2022
Thursday 17th - The weather isn't so bad right now. A bit of shine, a few clouds on and off and a milder temperature of around 14C. Feels like Spring, especially when the sun shines and you can feel the warm of it's rays on your face.
Above - Vathy Square has been looking quite a bit abandoned over the winter months, but as we near Easter the umbrellas will soon be up with gossip and catching up going on underneath them.
Above - Not Ithaca, but close and a part of everyone's travel to and from Ithaca.
Friday 18th - Below - Lots of municipal works going on in and around Vathy.
The weather is still very changeable, but there is a certain feel of Spring in the air, especially with all the wild blooming going on around the island. Locals continue to be thin on the ground, but that too will change soon enough as businesses get ready for Easter.
Sunday 20th - It's been sunny but very cold. From the inside looking out it can be very deceptive, but there's no deception when your fingers begin to sting from the cold when you go outside.
Tuesday 22nd - Chilly days for this March. I don't know about record lows, but it surely feels like it. Meanwhile the northern hemisphere is enjoying high teens to 20C. Go figure.

Thursday 24th - Speeding through another month and although the temperatures feel too cold for March, there are plenty of signs of Spring.
Sunday 27th - A bright sunny day for this year's Independence Day celebrations and parade in both Stavros and Vathy. For more pics CLICK HERE or on photo below.
Wednesday 30th - Hazy skies over Ithaca these past couple of days, but the temps are definitely going up and the days longer, now that daylight saving has come into effect.

Spring on Ithaca Greece
Thursday 17th
The Patras ferry connection started yesterday, after quite lengthy hiatus over the winter, but luckily we always have the Astakos connection which never lets us down unless the weather is so bad it can't go or there is a petrol run.

Friday 18th - Looks like the clouds will be back for today and possibly another drop in temps too.
Sunday 20th - With all the rain through the winter, Ithaca is particularly lush and green. It will also mean that there'll be alot of combustibilty for the summer so hopefully everyone will clear their land plots.
Tuesday 22nd - The sheeps life. Sunbathing on a Spring day.
Thursday 24th - Looks like the temps will finally start creeping up again for the weekend. It's been a cold and wet winter this year.

Wednesday 30th - The end of another month as we head closer to 2022 Summer season. I can feel there's an excitement building each day we get closer. Also looks like we'll have a big Easter celebration this year.
