What's New On Ithaca Greece
October 2020
Sunday 25th
It's a little chillier at night, but we're still having some very fine, warm days on the island. As we get close toward the end of October, many restaurants will be closing down for the winter, so a sunny day is a good opportunity to make the most of a social situation. Below - Yefuri Restaurant in Platrithia.
Above - Kioni. After the hurricane/medicane/cyclone Ianos, Kioni was able to salvage some of October after a massive clean-up, but Frikes below - still has much to do and only Dodonis Cafe on the far side of the bay has been open for business since.

Autumn on Ithaca Greece
Sunday 25th
If you don't look too hard or think too much, you'd almost be forgiven for forgetting that covid was an issue. Ithaca is a bubble in which you can be oblivious to the outside world, living comfortably blind to the global reality...sometimes.
Below - Oh look, a snake. The first one I've seen this season.
Above - Pelicata.
Above and Below - Platrithias.
Thursday 29th - A sad day yesterday for Oxi Day with no parades due to covid and with the burial of our previous Mayor and owner at Ithaca News, Tilemahos Karavias. He will be greatly missed.
