Wednesday 1st
Kalo Mina to all. It's so hot! The weather forecast says 34C, but real feel 38C. If it feels like 38C then it's 38C. I'm going with the real feel as the real degrees don't match the intensity of the heat.
Below - Vathy. What a sad, sad sight. Not a single yacht moored here.
It's good to see the Vathy village square has some activity with the young out and about.
Friday 3rd - Ithaca is looking forward to some visitors this month, since the 1st of July lifting of some more restrictions, but still we saw businesses closed with the lack of traffic.

Above - Sunset over the Kefalonia Strait. The western coast of Ithaki, always has spectacular sunsets.
Sunday 5th - Below - Padazis Fruit and Vegetable market in Vathy, with it's fresh and delicious produce.
Above - View to Aetos beach in the South of Ithaca. Below - Cemetary beach in Kioni, north Ithaca.
Above - A streaking low mist cloud across the Ionian between Afales, Ithaca and north to Lefkada.
Monday 6th - Kioni Boat Hire Boats are in the water. That must be a good sign that there's a need for them.
Friday 10th - Below - Dexa Beach, the Ithaki beach with awards for quality.
Sunday 12th - This week the Mayor announced that all the Summer festivals have been cancelled for 2020.

July 2020
A Covid Summer on Ithaca Greece
Wednesday 1st
Blue skies and hot days for this week.
Below - Kohili opened this past weekend. I have to say I'm so happy restaurants and shops are open, as some days they probably won't even make enough to pay their electricity bills.
Friday 3rd - Taki the beach manager, not managing too many people so far this Season, but it's good to see everyone trying to do their best.
Sunday 5th - Below - With the recent bout of heat, Ithaca won't stay this green for much longer.
Above - The path to the windmills in Kioni, which starts from cemetary beach.
Monday 6th - A good sign in Vathy too, with some yachts in the harbour now.
Friday 10th - Below - Polis Beach. Always fun with Taki the beach manager.
Sunday 12th - The cemetary beach Cantina is open for business. Covid has not changed the great atmosphere at this, one of Kioni's fave beaches.
