What's New On Ithaca Greece
September 2019
Sunday 15th
The change of season is in the air. Cooler nights, cooler winds and breezes, an impending calm and then silence. The waters are still warm and there's no shortage of people getting in the remaining summer rays. It's been a much busier Summer Season this year compared to the past years. Things do seem to be looking up as long as those with the power keep the island the way in which it has always attracted visitors. There is a thin line between progress and destruction.

PLEASE NOT THAT ON 24 SEP 2019 FROM 06.00 TO 06.00 ON THE 25TH THERE WILL BE NO FERRY DUE TO A NATIONAL SEA TRANSPORT STRIKE.
Thursday 19th - We can start to feel the change of season now. It has a little sadness attached to the late afternoons.
Below - The Velvet Bus brought some guitar rock and grunge to Ithaca for a 10 day period end of August to 9th September. One of the bands playing was The Callas.
Tuesday 24th -
Paint the Lyric had it's final night with the winning paintings announced. Lots of terrific works from some very talented people. Usually prizes are handed out from 1st to 3rd, but not here. We have 3 winners. First is Alexis Alvamis with his painting 'Far Away'
All winners of Paint The Lyric are Greek, but there were entries from 7 different countries from around the world. What a fantastic effort for this first time gallery exhibition event.

Sunday 29th - Another month over. A little of everything weatherwise, rain, sun, clear skies, cloudy skies. The days are making way for October.
