What's New On Ithaca Greece
October 2019
Wednesday 2nd
Yefuri Restaurant is now under new management. Andy and Mark handed over the keys this past Sunday to Roni, from Roni Construction and Kantina Platoma in Anoghi.
Thursday 3rd - The end of an era. Below some more pics of the last Sunday at Yefuri under the management of Andy and Mark.
Above - Choppier bays as we head deeper into Autumn weather. There may even be some rain soon.
Below - On a more serious note. The Greek parliament will be voting on increasing the area in which drilling for oil and fracking will be allowed. A signed petition from residents of Ithaca has been formally given to the prefecture representative to deliver to parliament. Not only are the voices of the masses not being listened to inregard to stopping drilling, now they want to increase the area. Does no one see that Greece ONLY has tourism, sea and sun to offer as a means of making money for the country??? How can that be risked?
Sunday 6th - After some hefty storms, there is a little calm.
Monday 7th - Yesterday Polis Bay held the annual Marida Festival. This time, financed by a private party, but still a great turn out and alot of fun had by all who attended. For more pics CLICK HERE or on photograph below.
Friday 11th - Below - Afales Bay.
Sunday 13th - I'm still sick so apologies again for the sparse updates. I will be back in form soon.

Sunday 6th - With the below photograph, you'd be forgiven to think it's Spring instead of Autumn.
Friday 11th - Apologies for not updating so regularly these past couple of weeks. 2 things - 1. My daughter gave birth to a healthy little boy a few days ago and 2. I get the flu.
Below - Aetos Bay
Sunday 13th - A stunning day today. Blue skies, sunshine and a temperature of around 24C. Perfect!
