What's New On Ithaca Greece
October 2018
Sunday 21st - An Autumn lull falls over the island now. Locals getting ready for the olive harvest. Soon the buzz of chain saws will be echoing around the island as farmers prepare their groves.
Monday 22nd - Below - This time of the year you can walk around the remote parts of the island comfortably. This is on the outer edge of Kioni
Wednesday 24th - Summer is unfortunately over. It's rained for over 2 days, almost without respite and the temperatures have dropped quite a bit. The rain is good though. It will green up the island again and nourish it after a long hot summer.
Monday 29th - The clocks went back yesterday so now we head into the off season again with the olive harvest before us.

Autumn on Ithaca Greece Island
Sunday 21st
Wednesday 24th - Can't believe we're only a week away from another month finishing. Time really is speeding by. With all the rain, there's not much going on outside. A few yachts still here and there until the yachting season finishes at the end of the month. Holiday companies are also winding to a halt now.
Quite a grey and lustreless day yesterday. Lots of low cloud and rain falling over the Ionian Islands.
Monday 29th - The port at Piso Aetos is going ahead full steam. Lots of activity and now that most of the tourists have left the island, I can only imagine that they will attempt to have it ready by next season.
