What's New On Ithaca Greece
November 2018
Friday 2nd - We're in the midst of an Indian Summer on Ithaca. Beautiful weather. Great for walking the island.
Monday 5th - Below you can see the weather is still quite mild for this time of year and some people are still swimming.
Above - Odysseas Football team from N. Ithaki plays Kefalonia. The team has gone up one level.
Above - Some are saying it's not a good year for olives, so there are not many people picking yet. There's always a 'so so' year following a bumper harvest.
Wednesday 7th - Still such mild weather. Very unusual.
Sunday 11th - Although there may not be much of an olive harvest this season, there is a great calamari season. Everyone's out fishing. Meanwhile the weather continues to be very mild despite the chilly nights.
Monday 12th - The weather has been brilliant. Too nice to be inside. There are even some tourists wondering about, and locals, out mushrooming in the mountains. Good news too is that the Ionian Pelagos looks like it will be running daily again. Will get that confirmed soon.

Autumn on Ithaca Greece Island
Friday 2nd
It's that time again when ferry timetables are disrupted and the unsurity of service is once again at our doorstep. The Kefalonia Ferry is now on a 3 days a week schedule and the Ionian Pelagos will run for another 10 days before it's under review. We will try to get it clarified and will add it to the HOw To Get there page once WE know what's going on.
Monday 5th - The Roussano track below, is a popular walk, not only for visitors to Ithaca, but also for the locals. A stunning scenic walk.
Above - Kioni seems much quieter now. All the yachts are gone and the buzz of summer a mere distant echo.
Wednesday 7th -
Sunday 11th - With both the Kefalonia ferry and the Ionian Pelagos ferry awaiting for a nay or yay from the goverment with whom they applied for a grant, our ferry time schedules are again up in the air. The Kefalonia ferry has stopped running for now and the IOnian Pelagos will be on a reduced timetable by the look of it...but i can't say anything for sure.
Monday 12th - Glorious weather days for November on Ithaca Greece.
