April 2015 - Monday 2nd - Typical Spring weather. One minute sunny, the next pouring. Only thing is that after it pours, it doesn't seem to recover the sunshine like it once did at this time of year, instead a wintery chill overcomes us all
Lots of people in Vathy square before the rain. It's amazing how quickly all life can disappear under a sky that opens up.

Greek Easter 2015
It's been a big week of Greek Orthodox Easter celebrations around the country. It's the biggest event of the year in Greece. Unfortunately, I've been quite ill so my access has been a little limited this year.
I did force myself out to get some pics of Good Friday in Kioni, but I'm not too sure whether I'll be up to going out tonight for the Resurrection and still be fine for the Big Easter Feast tomorrow. It would be the first time in 12 years, I've missed it. We'll see.

The weather has been very chageable over the past few weeks, but Easter is usually a time we can expect the temperatures to begin going up instead of down. It appears to be a quieter Easter on the island. No hoards of people in the streets. Quite nice though.

Lovely weather for this year's Easter celebrations, although the wind did have a little chill later in the afternoon. Today meant lots of food, laughter and good times.

Tuesday 14th - What an amazing Easter weekend. Very blessed with sunshine and blue skies, not to mention all the great celebrations around Easter.

The hills are absolutely exploding in wild flowers and it feels like things are sprouting every second. Ithaca looks amazing right now. Spring is just fantastic on the island.
Left - Dendra Estate above Dexa Bay had its annual bbq and I was invited along. Gorgeous garden surrounds and a happy community of ex-pats who don't at all fall into the ex-pat dictionary description.
