Nikos and Theofilos get Baptised at Ag. Nikola Church at Mavrona, Ithaca.
These pages were made by request of the parents, Jenny Vlassopoulou and Yiorgos Karantzis. Some faces have been blanked out by request of the persons involved.

Jenny and Yiorgos closed the doors to their business, Spavento Bar in Kioni, to dedicate their full attention to this day, that is one of great importance in the Greek Tradition. |

Papas Babbis, Priest to all of Northern Ithaki headed the proceedings at Ag. Nikola church at Mavrona. An intimate and traditional church on the edge of the fishing bay of Mavrona underneath the village of Raxi. |
|
The twins arrived at the church in the arms of their parents and were quite in awe with all the people vying for their attention. |
|
The elderly women of the congregation did their crosses and didn't take their eyes off them for a minute. |
|
Friends and relatives came from Athens and from all over the island, from as far as Vathy, to be witness to the Baptism of Nikos and Theofilos. |
