| Wednesday 1st - All the signs of Spring are in the air. Warmer temperatures and the almond blossoms are adorning the trees. Below - Pilikata Views.

| Friday 10th - Sorry everyone, but I've been struck down by a horrible flu that seems to get worse instead of better as it goes along. I may still need a couple of days, but just wanted to update you on why there have been no posts.
Wednesday 15th - Typical Spring weather. One day fine, one day not. Rain, sun, rain, sun. I'm very sorry for the staggered updates, but I'm really quite ill and just trying to put something up when I am able.
Monday 20th - Unfortunately I'm still down with this mystery virus, as are many on the island, as we watch March pass us by from our beds. With the biggest celebration on the Greek Calendar next month, Easter, the weather is beginning to open up every 2nd day or so.
Wednesday 22nd - More blue skies than not as we head deeper and deeper into Spring.

Thursday 23rd - Below - A very different view of Frikes to the one we all know and love in Summer.

Sunday 26th - Yesterday, around Greece, Independence Day was celebrated with a religious ceremony and Parade. Ithaca was no exception. Locals turned out to celebrate this momentous as did the rest of Greece. For some pics, CLICK HERE or on photograph below.
Tuesday 28th March - Fine weather and a definite buzz around the island as we get closer to Easter. There'll be visitors and ex-pats and locals returning from their winter on the mainland. It's going to be a busy time.

Springtime on Ithaki
Wednesday 1st
There is more rain on the horizon, but for now it's dry so it's a good time for some walks around the tracks on Ithaca.
| Friday 3rd - Weather isn't too great at the moment, but rain is good.
| Friday 10th - Typical Spring weather, sometimes sunny, sometimes cloudy, sometimes rainy.
Wednesday 15th - The sheep are loving this time of year. Just lush green pastures and no thistles.
Monday 20th - Spring is definitely in the air with almond blossoms decking the island in a magical white carpet, but there are also still days of rain and wind and grey skies.
Wednesday 22nd - Already into the last week of March. Soon Easter will be upon us and the island will fill with expats and locals from wherever they live during the winter months.
Thursday 23rd - Beautiful days ahead.
Tuesday 28th - Closing up another month. Time is just speeding by.
