Friday 20th
Northern Ithacan Primary school Bazaar was a great hit and luckily it wasn't spoiled by another rainy day.
Saturday 21st - Only a few days until Christmas and the weather temperatures are more like October than December. Below - North Ithaca's Olive Press. In recent years the machinery has been re-calibrated and the workers and volunteers pride themselves in getting the best out of it. Virgin Cold Pressed. Excellent. The reputation is so good now that even people from the South of the island come to see how it all works.

Sunday 22nd - A mixed bag weather-wise, but there's a happy and relaxed vibe on the island. There are people in trees cutting olive branches to be combed of their olives, and the glittery nights lit with Christmas decorations all help to make December a cheery winter month.
Below - Stavros had their childrens Christmas party a couple of nights ago.
Monday 23rd - While elsewhere in Greece, and around the western world, consumerism is at its peak, here on Ithaca, there's a very civilized restraint, mostly due to the lack of mass consumer opportunities.

Wednesday 25th - MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE WHO CELEBRATES IT AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE.
Friday 27th - After some wild seas, people were lucky to get off the island for their Christmas visits to the Mainland. Hope everyone had a safe and fun time!

Sunday 29th - As we head toward the end of 2019, temperatures are dropping lower and lower. Last night was no exception with forecast 0 C overnight. Maybe we'll see some snow in Anoghi soon.
Tuesday 31st - It's the last day of 2019! Wishing everyone a fantastic 2020. We are living in the future. Here's hoping it's good to us and the planet. Below - Marathia views.

Winter on Ithaca Greece
Friday 20th
This last week before the holiday season, everything is about Christmas and the holidays.
Saturday 21st - Only a few days until Christmas. The lights have been up all month, but as we head deeper into winter, the streets are much quieter now.
Above - Kioni bay, looking beautiful, back to its sleepy winter state.
Sunday 22nd - With only a few days to Christmas there's a sense of excitement in the air, but probably not among the sheep or goats.
