Thursday 1st
Kalo Mina everyone! Here's to a successful and funfilled August!
Friday 2nd - Vathy in the late afternoon is quite a sight. Lots of activitiy from locals and visitors alike and the golden light falling over the village makes it quite magical.
Don't forget the BIG Stavros Festival is on this week. Keep the 5th and 6th of August free for dancing and having fun.
Saturday 3rd - Stavros gets ready for the big Summer Festival, Sortiros on the 5th and 6th August.
Sunday 4th - Weather perfect August so far. Gentle breezes that cool the 30 something celcius degrees.
Monday 5th - Big night tonight in Stavros with the first night of the Sortiros Festival.

Tuesday 6th - Last night was the first of Ithaki's Mid Summer Festivals, Sortoris - Stavros Panighiri. For some pics CLICK HERE or on photograph below.
Wednesday 7th - Last night was the 2nd night of Sortiros and it was as huge as the first. What a great night with great people, self policing and still no incidents of any of the things we read about in the news. We live in a very happy little bubble where we really can say "Safe as houses". For some pics of the 2nd night of the Stavros Festival please CLICK HERE or on photo below.
Saturday 10th - No Oil drilling in the Ionian. This is one of the most important issues to do with our part of the world.

Sunday 11th - Last night was the Frikes Panighiri. Where? Well, Frikes of course. AND what a great night had by all. The best Frikes panighiri so far. For more pics CLICK HERE or on photograph below. Oh and it's so hot today.

Tuesday 13th - Fine Summer weather. Just what you'd expect. Lots of people on Ithaca right now. Crammed full of fun. Don't forget Anoghi Panighiri on the 14th and Platrithia Panighiri on the 15th. See you there.

Summer Holiday on Ithaca Greece
Thursday 1st
The weather has been quit mild for this time of year, but now we're heading into the hottest month, I'm sure the temperatures will soar.,

Friday 2nd - Not everything happens on the bayside in Vathy, The back streets and the village square are quite a hub of acitivity during the Summer months too. Some great eating in the back street of Vathy, Sirens Restaurant for example or on the bayside, there is also the popular Kohili near the Council Clock. Dessert afterwards? Well try Cafe del Sol or Karamela Cafe for great quality and reasonable prices.
Saturday 3rd - Below - The Venetian bell tower in the area of Metropolis in Vathy.
Sunday 4th - Many gift and specialty shops in Vathy to get that perfect memento from you Ithaki holiday.
