What's New On Ithaca Greece
September 2018
Wednesday 19th - It's still hot and now seeing there's so much more room at the beaches, it's the best time to be at the beach.
Sunday 23rd - Still alot of people on the island, walkers, nature lovers and yachters mostly, but there is a really chilled feel which makes it very pleasant to be here.
Below - There's been quite a bit of road resurfacing around Vathy.
Above - Respresentatives of the Ithacan Philanthropic Society of Melbourne Australia were on Ithaca to give out the Scholarships created for the best students in the High School. IPS have also donated equipment to the high school. Click Here or on photo above for more.
Wednesday 26th - Ithaca's lights went out yesterday with a power out which lasted a couple of hours and then continued to glitch throughout the night. The wind also picked up with a change in weather heading our way...maybe.
Thursday 27th - A very windy and chilly day with the north of the island being literally blown away in the evening.
Saturday 29th - Just minutes from another month passed. The past few days have been a little chaotic on the island with news of a cyclone passing over Greece, but luckily not much eventuated here on ithaca apart from a couple of days of very windy weather and a quite dramatic drop in temperature, which brought to season to an abrupt end. The wind blew away that summer mist leaving us with a very special clarity.

Wednesday 19th
Sunday 23rd - Already into the last week of September. The season has really flown by.
Wednesday 25th
Thursday 27th - The season changed with a bang today with temperatures dropping to jacket and long pants, even shoes weather at night.
