What's New On Ithaca Greece
December 2018
Sunday 2nd - Kalo Mina to everyone!
Winter means football for local teams.
Monday 3rd - The pre Christmas party at the Cultural center in Vathy was a great success and alot of fun. Here are a couple of pics courtesy of Jennie Vlass from Spavento Cafe Bar in Kioni.
Tuesday 4th - Mild weather continues on Ithaca and there's barely anyone to enjoy it. The island is very, very quiet now.
Friday 7th - Now we're heading deeper into winter, the weather is alot more changeable.
Thursday 13th - Still a little sunshine to be enjoyed, but it is getting wintery on the temperature gauge.
Tuesday 18th - Christmas is rushing up on us and with weather turning worse by the day, the ferry is on occasion stuck at a port, leaving us on Ithaki somewhat stranded, whether it be trying to get off the island or back on. Storms again through the night and more bad weather expected today and throughout the week. It is winter so we should expect it.
Wednesday 19th - We've had a few stormy days, but today the sun is shining again.
Thursday 20th - Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season from ithacagreece.com. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, this time of year can be one of reflection and some sadness for some people, so I hope for those, you find some light in your tunnel and that we can bring a little Ithaki warmth into your lives.
