Sotiros 2018 Stavros Panighiri ithaca greece

Stavros Square was absolutely heaving and packed for this year's Sotiros. With the earlier festivals being down in numbers, I wondered if this, the BIG festival of the season, would suffer the same, but no, it was as the good old days, absolutely brimming with fun, activity and wild abandon. The night finished just before 6am. A GREAT success!

It's hard to imagine a panighiri without Mnistires, the panighiri band. This year the band was joined by Kosta on keyboards, who once upon a time, before he moved to Australia, would be up on that panighiri stage with the boys in the band. They kept the crowd dancing and excited from beginning to end. It's a big job and Mnistires do it so well!
