I have been attending Forkinas performances for as long as I've been on the island, and each year this local theatre group takes it up a notch. Always improving, always surprising us. This year's performance of Three-penny Opera (a Brecht musical) was no exception. Brilliant. Live music from stage left, was also an enhancement to the atmosphere. The cast of Forkinas also grows each year as more and more young join the group. The group is made up of teenagers who still attend high school to lawyers, engineers and everything inbetween. The set was creative and impressive, as were the set changes. The performance of Three-penny Opera under the direction of Pericles Vasilopoulos delivered everything that would be expected from such a well-known play, and more. Forkinas made it relevent for today with the colour and atmosphere of yesterday. Here are just some of the scenes of the play in photographs. The show has it's last night tonight, Sunday 14th and boasts all 3 shows, each as successful as the other. Congratulations to everyone!!!
