After the last church service in the north, which was held in Kioni, many locals went home to break their Fast with traditional tripe soup, others headed to bars and open restaurants for a drink and celebration.

The Resurrection
It had been raining heavily all day, but by the time night fell, the skies had cleared ready for The Resurrection ceremony. This year we headed up to the mountain village of Anoghi where the church service began at around 9pm and finished approx 9.30pm. It's a really wonderful church with very old frescos. Unfortunately the wind picked up a little to much and the tradition of letting the candle burn from church to home was a little difficult to achieve.
