| Gavrilios was a young lad when he first came to Ithaki in 1942. He's what you call a Kefalonitis (someone born in Cephalonia). He married his ithacan wife and has no intention of returning to his birthplace. He likes it right here on Ithaki. He did try Melbourne in Australia for 18 months, but didn't like it much, so he returned to the island where he has spent his life as a farmer. |
