Ageliki met an Ithacan in Lefkada, where she was born and raised, married him and moved to Lefki in Northern Ithaki more than 40 years ago. A widow now, she gets support and comfort from her friends and neighbours in the small cliff-side village. In October, like other locals, Ageliki picks the olives from her grove which supplies her with olive oil all year 'round.
