There must be something in the water in Kioni apart from the boats that Yiorgos hires out during the summer because this couple is just one of the many to have extended their family this year with the birth of their daughter Alexandra.

They've been very busy.  Last year in the Summer of 2002, Gertie opened her clothing boutique Sentouky in Kioni to rave reviews from the locals and Yiorgos extended his business to Frikes, all the  while renovating their house and getting ready for their baby girl.

Yiorgos was born in South Africa, bred in Kioni, and Gertie in Switzerland. Although they go back and forth visiting Gerties family in Switzerland, this family makes Ithaca its home.
