Kassiani Fatouros is one of the constitutions of Stavros. She was born and raised in the northern capital and continues to be one of the well known faces of this village. Kassiani has been running Fatouros Taverna since 1979, which she established with her husband Spiros. If she gives the impression that she's just the little old lady who sits outside her grill while the world changes around her, you'd be mistaken. Kassiani runs a tight ship and has continued to keep her taverna right up there in the popularity stakes, changing with the demands of modern life, yet keeping what we all love when we holiday on a Greek Island, tradition.
