About Nostalgia House
Nostalgia House is located in Anogi, Ithaca Greece and built in the 70's by Giorgos and Anastasia Kallinikos. 110 m2 house with a retro interior that combines simplicity, beauty, and harmony between the past and tthe present There are 2 bedrooms, each with w/robes, a big living room with a sofa-bed, a dining room that seats 6 people and a spacious kitchen. Relax and enjoy the sea and valley views from the balcony or the garden areas. There is also a vegetable garden that our guests can source produce from during their stay. You can try our handmade olive oil and taste our wine.
Ithaca has beautiful bays and paths to discover the island from. Anoghi is only a 10 min drive to Stavros and Polis Bay with it's 2 beaches and 20 mins to Vathy, the capital of Ithaca. In Anogi there is a traditional cafe/restaurant (kafeneio), with delicious dishes and a few of mini market products.
Anoghi is a quiet village ideal for relaxing and meditation, but not too far from the bayside action when you want it. On the 14th of August, annually, there is a traditional outdoor festival held in the village square with 'live' music, dancing and food and wine. It usually goes to the early hours of the morning. In the village square is the Holy Mary church with frescos from the 16th century, the heart of Anoghi. Close by is the Kathara Monastery. You can go for wine tours in the vineyards of Anoghi, especially in August and September when the grapes are gathered to make the local wines.
