The Exoghi Panighiri, celebrating Ag. Marina in Ithaca, Greece, is a vibrant summer festival that brings together locals and visitors for a night of joyous celebration. Despite the church not being in use for several years due to earthquake damage to its bell tower, its presence continues to add a unique charm to the festivities.
After a hiatus caused by a lack of village volunteers to manage the bar, souvlaki, and food stalls, the Exoghi Panighiri made a triumphant return. The warm, summer night was filled with laughter and dancing as the community came together to revive this cherished tradition. The festival attracted a large crowd, with many young people enthusiastically participating and ensuring that the tradition lives on.
