The Platrithia Panighiri, held at Limnes in Platrtihia, is for many, the last of the big festivals before people head back to the mainland for work, and boy was it big! Fully attended by locals from the south to the north of Ithaca, and visitors from all over the world. Unfortunately, the dance circle was too dark for sharp photos, so most of the photos are from the areas that were adequately lit.
Everyone had a great time though. A well organized festival. The Platrithia community made sure of it.
I was a bit surprised to see a great big bus parked almost opposite Limnes square, right in the middle of the busiest parking traffic, but not so surprised that when it came time to leave, before it could go 100m, the bus got stuck at a bend for the longest time until the drivers of the cars, which parked on that bend, could be found in amongst the crowds of people. Meanwhile traffic was backed up right back to the square, all having to reverse along with the bus, so that some cars coming the opposite way, could get through.
