Seeing the Stavros Panighiri, Sortiros, was cancelled today, Saturday 5th August, due to the forecast of thunderstorms and rain, I thought I'd photograph my way around the island as I make my way to my appointments.
It doesn't look like there will be thunderstorms, and if not, they could easily come tomorrow or in 5 minutes. Scattered could mean full on. I think we had a better forecast when there were actual people predicting weather rather than an algorithm. Equations are great in a maths class, but in life there is unpredictability which goes beyond the scope of an equation.
Anyway, we went from north to south and everything inbetween, cafes, restaurants, beaches, political rally and all the time the stunning views across the Island. Enjoy this very hot Summer's day around Ithaca.
