Before the Platrithia Panighiri it was noted around the northern villages that the streets were very quiet. Hardly the peak of Summer when there isn't much action around. Little did we know that the reason the village streets were empty was because everyone was getting ready for Panaghias at Limnes, the Platrithia Panighiri.
It's been a long, long time since I've seen Limnes so fully packed with people. The line to the souvlaki, which just got longer and longer was the first sign as I walked to the entrance, then the squeeze as I made my way through the thick crowd of people.
