Platrithia Panighiri - Panaghias - Summer Festival on Ithaca Greece 2018

I really don't know what happened this year, but each Panighiri just got stronger and stronger. Limnes in Platrithia, was lit up like daylight for the annual festival of Panaghias, also known as the Platrithia Panighiri, held there. Traditionally known as the LAST one for the season, but with Kathara in September, gaining popularity and verve over the past few years, this is just the last panighiri for August.

I know i keep saying this, but it was just like the old days. Cars parked almost to the beginning of Platrithia on one end and down to Ag. Sarantas on the other end. It was packed! This year, Mnistires also played this Panighiri and I don't know how they do it, but they got everyone dancing and enjoying themselves again. This year the stage also had some well known tv personalities get up and sing along.
