Exoghi Panighiri 2018 - Summer Festival on Ithaca Greece

It was a humid and still night when we first arrived in Exoghi for Ag. Marina Festival, not alot of people this year. By 1am, a mist fell over the village from a low cloud that blanketed the top of the mountain on which this village was perched. It gave the festival an eerie and mystical feel.

Despite the drop in numbers, everyone had a great time as usual. Mnistires played the panighiri songs that have become tradition for Ithacan festivals. The dance circle was rarely empty. The summer influx of Ithacans from around the world exuded the excitement of a time past.
