It's been a season for theater on Ithaca. Last night, the lower high school students put on their rendition of 'Little Prince', adapted for the stage from the novella by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Little Prince tells a story around loneliness, friendship, love and loss in the form of a young prince who has fallen to earth.
The Cultural Center in Vathy was full by 9pm, everyone eager and excited to see their children and friends up on stage. For a play put on by a high school, the stage setting was quite sophisticated and ethereal as were the sound effects. I believe Nikos Doukas was responsible for this. Great job all around from organizers, director, stage hands etc, to of course, the young theatre group. A thoroughly entertaining hour of theatre from the lower high school in Vathy.
