The Stavros fundraiser was organized by the community of the norther village of Stavros to raise funds to maintain Sortiros church which sits at the center of the village square. The venue was the community hall, and although at first it seemed a strange location to use in the middle of summer, it was actually very fitting for the late afternoon tea-party for which the local women baked to feed the donators. The fundraiser was well attended, and thus, hopefully made the community the funds to keep the church in good physical order.
