September 2006 |
The High Summer Season is over, but life continues on Ithaca as it did before August. The working locals begin to relax to enjoy what visitors travel thousands of miles to experience and the visitors coming to the island now, get to see Ithaki without the congestion of August time. The weather is great, the skies blue, and the sea, like glass. Just lovely. |

September is the time for British visitors who enjoy the milder temperatures and the more relaxed atmosphere. The only difference between August and September is the population, In September it is significantly less than August, but everything else is equal to High Summer - the weather, the beaches, the food and the wine. This months' bonus is also that you can easily get to know the locals more intimately |

Everyone has time to spare and a story to share. September is known for the relationships that are cemented in the hearts of visitors and locals alike. The day ends with dinner at a bayside restaurant with the masts of the yachts docked in the harbour, clanking in a gentle sea breeze as the ferries pass by on their way to Italy.
