While much of Greece traditionally strikes on the 1st of May, in the north of Ithaca, some locals take off up the mountain to Vigla for an early morning church service and meat on a Spit for a May Day Picnic. It's about 30 minutes through a windy track, over a few rocks and up the mountain to get to this spot, but there isn't anyone that's been that has regreted a single step or puff that it took to get there. |
