LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION - Now that the Season is heating up, nightlife around Ithaca is buzzing. In Vathy, the clubs and bars are throbbing with music and laughter, people walking the promenade, cars cruising the streets and locals shaking off, once and for all, any remnant of winter. While the northern villages like Stavros offer a traditional retreat compared to the mostly over commercialised villages in other parts of 'island' Greece, Vathy, although lively, still has the tradition that seems to be a magnet for those looking for the 'Original Greece'. Friendly people, beautiful views and warm weather have visitors return again and again. |
