Tsiknopempti 2024

We started Tsiknopempti in Vathy where a taste of Carnival already coloured the village square. There was souvlaki and music, a bubble show and despite some light rain, the festivities were not dampened at all. We then headed to Stavros with Meropi put on the grill for the northern locals and passers by. We finished off Tsiknopempti in Kioni at the old school where there was more than a little mayhem and good cheer going round as you'll see in the images below. Tsiknopempti designates the last day of the carnivore diet for the Greek Easter celebrations until Easter Sunday.
