Winter Snow on Ithaca Island Greece

Snow is such a rare occurrence on Ithaki, even when it's only an inch in the mountain village of Anoghi, that everyone gets very excited and heads up the mountain to throw a few snowballs before it melts, but this week, we've had snow down to the beach in the north of the island.

In the south of the island, the mountain tips and the village of Perahori have seen some snowfall, but nowhere near the amount that has fallen in the north. Cars everywhere, packed tight in soft white snow. It has been a wonder to see, as it is so, so rare, but it's chilly and some are feeling the cold more than others.
