A look around Ithaki suburbs - Stavros, Platrithia and Frikes
The morning looked pretty gloomy yesterday, but by midday there were some rays of sunshine breaking through. It was a good time to get out and drive around the northern Ithacan suburbs (villages as we like to call them here) to see the day from the perspective of the car window. With rain on and off, the fields and olive groves were very quiet and the roads a little wet. The wind got up some momentum, but then dissipated again quite quickly. All in all, it's quiet on the village front during the day, but at night people are still venturing out to seek company or a sports program on the tele in one of the Cafes (Kafenion).
