Each day at 10.30am and 1.30pm, the sea plane arrives on Ithaki from either Patras or Corfu. It doesn't land inside the bay, the community doesn't allow that, but it lands just outside and motors its' way into the port at Loutsa where passengers embark and disembark. The noise pollution is very minimal, so minimal in fact that I've missed photographing the landing or taking off for nearly a month, even though I've been in Vathy many times during these periods. The sea plane route has been active now for almost 1 year, but the inclusion of Ithaki as a destination is very recent.
